Luxury Villa: La Zagaleta, Marbella, by Private Invitation
Inside La Zagaleta: a four bedroom villa on 4,553m² in the 900 hectare gated estate above Marbella, shown by appointment
La Zagaleta is not a suburb of Marbella. It is 900 hectares of private woodland above it, gated, patrolled around the clock, with two golf courses and a helipad of its own. The villa sits inside it, on 4,553 square metres, facing southwest to the sea.
What you will find on this page is an outline. The photography, the plans and the pricing are held back and released privately, buyer by buyer. Leave your details and one of our agents will be in touch personally.

Behind the Gates of La Zagaleta
Roughly 250 homes are spread across 900 hectares of protected woodland, valleys and ridgelines in the hills of Benahavís. Two private golf courses. An equestrian centre. Members-only clubhouses with their own dining and tennis, a concierge who arranges the rest, a helipad, and security on the gates 24 hours a day.
The people who buy here are celebrities, royalty and family offices. Deer move through the fairways at dusk. Most people will never see past the entrance.

The House, in Outline
One of the original homes built on the estate, on an elevated and particularly private plot. The sea is in view from nearly every room.
Three levels, four bedrooms, four bathrooms, garaging for five cars. Around 1,219 square metres of living space, of which 325 is terrace.
The orientation is southwest, so the light arrives late and stays. The infinity pool holds the Mediterranean, Gibraltar and, on a clear day, the coast of Africa. Terraced gardens and mature planting surround it. The rest we show privately.

Who It Suits
Three generations under one roof, without anyone living on top of anyone else. An owner who cares more about the gate and the guard than the street address. Someone who entertains properly and wants a house that can take it.
It is the kind of estate where families form lasting connections and children can be outdoors safely. A legacy holding rather than a purchase, and it tends to find its buyer rather than the other way round.

Marbella in Ten Minutes
Marbella is 10 minutes down the hill. Puerto Banús and its marina, 15. The private jet terminal at Málaga is 20 minutes away, Málaga Airport 49 minutes, Gibraltar 56.
Andalusia's best golf, beaches and Michelin starred dining sit either side of the gates.
Buyers arrive from London, Dubai, New York, Geneva, Singapore and Hong Kong. The distance is rarely the obstacle people expect it to be.

Or Arrive by Air
The estate keeps its own helipad, which changes what a weekend looks like. Sierra Nevada is forty five minutes: ski in the morning, be home for lunch.

Why This Page Stops Here
Owners at this level do not advertise. The floor plans, the full photography, the video walkthrough and the price are held in a private dossier, released by password to buyers who have identified themselves.
Enquiries are handled personally and in confidence. Viewings are by appointment, in person or remotely, across time zones, and a purchase can be completed end to end from abroad if that suits you better.
Discretion runs past the enquiry. Non-disclosure agreements, nominee purchasing structures and confidential settlement are available to buyers who want them.

Buying in La Zagaleta
The questions international buyers ask most often, answered plainly. Anything not covered here, ask your advisor directly.
What makes La Zagaleta the most exclusive community in Europe?
Ultra-low density (250 homes over 900 hectares), 2 private golf courses, equestrian facilities, 24/7 security and unrivalled privacy in a prime Mediterranean location. Among luxury villas in southern Spain, La Zagaleta sets the benchmark for privacy and prestige.
Can I view the villa remotely?
Yes. We offer qualified buyers a complete remote viewing experience. Live video walkthroughs with our team are available across time zones, giving you a true sense of the estate before you visit. Virtual tours suit buyers considering property in Spain from abroad.
Can I purchase the villa sight unseen?
Yes, we facilitate secure, end-to-end remote transactions. For international buyers, the entire acquisition process can be completed remotely, including due diligence, contract signing and title transfer. We coordinate the whole process for buyers purchasing a house in Spain, Málaga, through trusted legal and financial partners, including NIE registration, escrow and power of attorney where required.
What is the buying process for foreign investors in Spain?
International buyers must obtain a Spanish NIE (tax ID number), open a local bank account and complete due diligence. Our team partners with vetted legal experts to support you at every stage of buying a property in Málaga, including title verification, notary appointments and secure fund transfers.
What are the ongoing ownership costs in Spain?
Ongoing costs may include annual property tax (IBI), utilities, community fees, and optional maintenance or concierge services. We provide full clarity during the due diligence phase, including non-resident income tax, legal structuring and the tax implications of holding luxury property in Spain, tailored to your profile.
Can I rent out the villa as a holiday property?
Yes. The villa qualifies as a luxury holiday rental and offers exceptional appeal for discerning guests. With its elegant design, spacious layout and panoramic sea views, it compares well with the best mansions for hire in Spain.
Is financing available for non-resident buyers?
Yes, Spanish banks and international lenders do offer mortgage options to non-residents. Typical LTVs range from 60-70%, depending on financial profile. We refer you to multilingual brokers who specialise in financing property in Spain for buyers with foreign income or overseas financial structures.
How do I protect my identity or keep the purchase confidential?
We work with legal structures and advisors that prioritise discretion. Trusts, holding companies and nominee services can be established where required. All client interactions remain strictly confidential, with non-disclosure protocols available for ultra-high-net-worth buyers of luxury homes in Spain and other prestigious international estates.
