Renowned Australian property analyst Michael Matusik supports this view with research indicating that luxury waterfront property is somewhat recession-proof.
‘‘Our research indicates that the value of waterfront property in prime locations has grown more than twice as fast as other residential real estate,’’ Mr Matusik said.
‘‘Our studies have also found that luxury waterfront property has been more resistant to a downturn in a residential cycle.’’
